HIVESVILLE branch held a successful mini cent sale on Saturday, November 17.
Guest speaker was Maureen Bowden, who spoke about her fretwork and showed some pieces.
The Sunbonnet Sue quilt raffle was won by Joyce Simpson, from Buderim, and Donna Robinson, from Hivesville, won second prize, which was a food hamper.
Members will again make Christmas cake and biscuits to give out at the Hivesville Christmas Carnival being held on Friday, December 14.
The last branch meeting for the year was held at the Murgon Motor Inn followed by a delightful Christmas lunch.
International report given by Pat was about the rivers of Germany, the work of ACWW and an introduction to Lithuania, country of study for 2019.
Members will attend the last division handicraft meeting for the year on Monday, December 10. The next branch craft day will be held in February 2019. Making bookmarks and an item in cellastoid are on the to-do list.
For Country Kitchens a discussion was had on how to read labels on food items. This can be very confusing when it comes to healthy eating.
