More than 15,000 peo­ple headed to Dar­danup on Satur­day to en­joy the LiveLighter Dar­danup Bull and Bar­rel Fes­ti­val.

Fes­ti­val chair­woman Jill Cross said while it was dif­fi­cult to gauge the num­ber of at­ten­dees due to free en­try, she was con­fi­dent it was the big­gest event yet.

“We don’t have peo­ple tak­ing money at the gate which makes it dif­fi­cult to guess,” she said. “Based on what we saw and across the en­tire day, I would say we had more than 15,000 peo­ple here.”
