Qfive guests would you invite (and why)?

My wife Luella. I need her to tell me how to hold a dinner party. Paul Keating, the last Australian Prime Minister to have any vision for our country; Lt Col. Ralph Honner, the WA leader of the part-time soldiers who delayed the Japanese advance on Port Moresby; Harry Peake, my ‘education’ lecturer in Sydney, who taught us (in 1962) that kids learn by communicating; Mozart, as long as he played some of his beautiful piano music after I’d given him a good feed.

AQyou go (and why)?

Back to 1860 to introduce myself to five of my great-great grandfathers/grandmothers, who left their home countries, sailed to Australia and were miners during the Ballarat/Bendigo gold rush days. What a story they could tell!

AQline-up (and why)?

Neil Diamond (emotion-filled music), Willie Nelson (simple storytelling) and Kris Kristofferson (musical poems of life).

AQ(and why)?

A bull in a cattle herd. Think about it! Not having to hunt for the herd’s food. Working only for a short period each year. Lots of laying around in green grass ruminating.

AQplay you (and why)?

Meryl Streep or Cate Blanchett. They could play anyone and make it believable.

Bob Jenkins wants Meryl Streep or Cate Blanchett to play him in a movie about his life because of their abilities to morph into a character.
