Shared path upgrades plan

South Western Times - - News -

Estuary Drive’s shared path will get significant upgrades in a bid to make the road safer for cyclists and other road users.

The path between Willinge Drive and the railway crossing will be upgraded with a 3m red asphalt path and 1m offset with kerb barrier.

The project is expected to start in January, funded by the Department of Transport — Western Australian Bicycle Network Grants.

“The Estuary Drive shared path provides a vital link between Bunbury and Pelican Point, Eaton and Australind, providing the only safe off-road route into Bunbury,” Mayor Gary Brennan said.
