League AGM to dis­cuss many top­ics

The South West Foot­ball League will hold its an­nual gen­eral meet­ing tonight at Hands Oval from 6.30pm, with a number of im­por­tant is­sues to be cov­ered.

League gen­eral man­ager Simone Nani told the she was hope­ful all elected mem­bers across ex­ec­u­tive and com­mit­tee-based po­si­tions were en­thu­si­as­tic about foot­ball’s fu­ture in the South West.

“We will also look at the fi­nance re­view for the foot­ball fi­nan­cial year, pres­i­dent’s re­port, fol­lowed by the elec­tion of the SWFL ex­ec­u­tive and league com­mit­tees,” she said.

“Also dis­cussed will be any life mem­ber nom­i­na­tions.”

Hav­ing taken over the gen­eral man­ager po­si­tion from John Vi­dos, Nani has been busy dur­ing the off­sea­son con­sult­ing with a va­ri­ety of foot­ball stake­hold­ers.

“I’ve been spend­ing a lot of time meet­ing ex­ist­ing and new spon­sors for the 2019 sea­son,” she said.

“We are also cur­rently work­ing on the prepa­ra­tion of the play­ers points sys­tem and the fix­tures.

“The off sea­son is a time to re­flect on what worked well in 2018 and what we can im­prove on.”
