Free con­cert will pro­vide a Christ­mas day lunch for those in need

Fun­ga­lore Bun­bury is throw­ing its sup­port be­hind the Bun­bury Soup Van this Christ­mas by hold­ing a spe­cial gig at the Prince of Wales Ho­tel on Satur­day night.

Bläck­witch, Ohm Rune, Zero­dent and Ocean Drive will take to the stage to sup­port the im­por­tant char­ity.

Fun­ga­lore co-founder Chris Howe is ex­cited to sup­port a wor­thy cause at this time of year.

“Food is the most ba­sic need,” he said. “For a lot of peo­ple Christ­mas is all about spend­ing big, eat­ing lots of food and in­dulging.

“It’s easy to for­get that there are peo­ple out there that can’t en­joy that as eas­ily.”

Dona­tions taken at the free show will go di­rectly to­wards a bar­be­cue from 9.30am on Christ­mas day for the home­less and fam­i­lies do­ing it tough at the Gra­ham Brick­nell Me­mo­rial Mu­sic Shell.
