Micro-brewery up for approval
Dardanup Shire Council was expected to approve a development application for a micro-brewery at Evedon Lakeside Resort at its meeting last night.
The application sought approval to establish a a brewery which would produce 400L each day and would see 106sq m added to an existing function centre.
The approval would be subject to several conditions as an agritourism venture, which council staff suggested would add to the resort’s attraction as a retreat as well as for day-trippers.
The staff report said there would be likely flow-on benefits for other tourism-related businesses in the region, such as those in the Ferguson Valley, if the application was to be approved.
