A trail of big dinosaur footprints were left behind at the Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre on Tuesday following a unique performance from Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo.

After roaming around the town in the morning, the dinosaurs performed to school groups throughout the day before making their way over to the centre for an evening show.

An audience of 950 were wowed by the life-like dinosaur puppets as they got up close and personal with the creatures that once roamed free around the world.

The show, which has been performed in the UK, USA and Japan, came to Harvey as part of a regional tour and was aimed at bringing the science of paleontology to young audiences.

“The interest and anticipation surrounding Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo has been amazing,” centre manager David Marshall said.

“People have come from all around the Peel and South West region for this unique experience.”

The zoo will be making its way to Ravensthorpe later this afternoon to continue the regional tour.
