College and City win waste awards


Manea Senior College and the City of Bunbury have been recognised for their work in recovering value from waste and protecting the environmen­t.

Both organisati­ons have picked up gongs at the 2021 WasteSorte­d Awards after being interviewe­d and assessed by a panel.

The City of Bunbury was a joint winner in the 2021 Waste Initiative of the Year award for its Public FOGO Bins Program, alongside Developmen­tWA for its OneOneFive Hamilton Hill Project.

Manea picked up the WasteSorte­d School of the Year title.

The Shire of the Collie was also commended in the Avoid Recovery Protect — WA Regional Waste Award.
