Centre adds to support for refuge

Bunbury Forum is stepping up to support the South West Refuge’s efforts to help women and children fleeing domestic violence.

The shopping centre has set up two collection points, which opened last Friday, where shoppers can donate new items such as toiletries, sanitary products, health and beauty items, toys, clothing and books.

The items will be packed and donated to the South West Refuge.

Bunbury Forum marketing manager Ashley Hastie said this was another chance for the community to come together.

“During the past 12 months, Bunbury and the South West have come together as a community during the pandemic, now we’re hoping that our customers can help with donations to assist the South West Refuge with the incredible work they do in our community,” he said.

Shoppers can drop off supplies at the collection points outside Woolworths and Big W between now and May 31.
