Smooth Rye poised to win

-

Corey Peterson’s four-year-old Smooth Rye looks hard to beat in tomorrow night’s Tabtouch Pace (2100m) at Donaldson Park.

The skilful mare, who enters the race with two consecutive wins under her belt, will start from the second row and should have too much speed for her rivals.

Smooth Rye’s biggest challenger appears to be Capel-based Keptain Courageous, who will be driven by trainer-reinsman Aiden De Campo.

Despite having been unplaced in his last three starts, the gelding has plenty of experience in terms of greeting the judges at his home track.
