Celebration in City
THE circus – and so many other performers, artists and fun creators – has rolled into town ahead of the City of Belmont’s Let’s Celebrate Festival.
More than 80 mostly free events spread across various locations and throughout November make up this year’s festival, which starts Friday night at Garvey Park with the return of illumination and glow experience Big Light Out.
Big Light Out is a light and effects show set to the best music of the decades.
There will also be food trucks, carnival rides, live creation murals, a silent disco, glow golf and neon body painting. A highlight is the festival finale with Eskimo Joe.
“This year’s Let’s Celebrate Festival is going to be bigger and better than ever,” Belmont chief executive John Christie said.
Saskia Twist, Amy Darling, Selma Bitts with her snakes Khaleesi and Tanamei and Smokey La Bare, performers from Twisted Vaudeville Circus.
