LONG-TIME Rivervale resident Andrew ‘Andy’ White will be turning 100 years old this Friday. Andy lived on Gladstone Road, Rivervale, for more than 65 years and will celebrate his birthday at Osboine Contemporary Aged Care in Bayswater this week. He is the father of three children, grandfather to six grandchildren and great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren.

THERE'S probably no better time of year for a seafood shop to celebrate than the festive period. Friday marks one year since Don Jeong converted a former women's fashion boutique in Angelo Street into Angelo's Fresh Seafood Market. Christmas is naturally an extremely busy period for fresh, WA-caught seafood, with giant Exmouth prawns a staple for a summer festive feast. “They taste beautiful and their colour is beautiful from Exmouth,” he said. Mr Jeong recommended Tiger or extra-extra-large King prawns for the occasion, with a 5kg box the best value.
