Breast cancer brunch
MANNING beauty salon Belle Sorelle is calling on the community to help raise $3000 for those affected by breast cancer.
Throughout June, the salon will donate $2 from every eyebrow shaping appointment before hosting an intimate morning tea at the Cutlery Drawer in Manning on July 8 to raise more funds for the Breast Cancer Foundation.
Belle Sorelle founder Ashleigh Jones committed to fundraise for the Foundation after a long term client began missing appointments.
Ms Jones said the client and good friend had been visiting the salon for about six years, so when she stopped coming in it was concerning.
A few months later her friend returned to the salon reporting she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.
It was at this point Ms Jones began looking into how she could help other women undergoing cancer treatment and found 3D areola tattooing.
“We have always been committed to empowering women and the community, and we are so thankful to be given the opportunity to impact so many lives through our 3D areola tattooing,” she said.
“So it is only natural that we take this opportunity to raise vital funds for research that will ultimately improve outcomes of this disease and help save lives.”
In addition to fundraising, Belle Sorelle is also offering complimentary 3D areola tattooing consultations until the end of June.
