SOUTH Perth residents can attend a free community safety forum at Manning Community Centre on Thursday to learn more about cyber safety, preventing vehicle thefts and the council’s CCTV plan, and ask questions.
Two WA Police crime prevention officers will be among the speakers and Kensington Police officerin-charge Glen Beros will discuss community safety tips and the new policing model that came into effect in July.

Other initiatives included lighting upgrades, signage and bollards.
“An application for Federal Government funding has been submitted requesting assistance with the purchase of CCTV cameras for key areas around the South Perth Foreshore, Mill Point Road in South Perth, and Karawara,” she said. “The City recently purchased a mobile CCTV trailer that will soon be operational.”

Selling agent Jared Rayner said the Weston Street property was no longer a crime scene and its history would not be hidden from buyers.
“Because it’s a material fact of the transaction, we must acknowledge that to any person who does want to purport a contract,” he said.
“It’s open public information as well, however I would still be disclosing because we don’t know what really happened there other than a body was found in the backyard.”
Ahmed Dawood Seedat (36) was charged with the murder of his wife Fahima Yusuf (32), whose body was found at their Weston Street property on September 5.
He is next scheduled in court on November 28.
Under the Real Estate and Business Agents and Sales Representatives Code of Conduct 2016 regulation 24, the agent or representative must make reasonable efforts to verify all facts material to the transaction.
The house will be auctioned on site at 10am on Saturday, December 8.
