SOUTH Perth res­i­dents can at­tend a free com­mu­nity safety fo­rum at Man­ning Com­mu­nity Cen­tre on Thurs­day to learn more about cy­ber safety, pre­vent­ing ve­hi­cle thefts and the coun­cil’s CCTV plan, and ask ques­tions.

Two WA Po­lice crime pre­ven­tion of­fi­cers will be among the speak­ers and Kens­ing­ton Po­lice of­fi­cerin-charge Glen Beros will dis­cuss com­mu­nity safety tips and the new polic­ing model that came into ef­fect in July.

Other ini­tia­tives in­cluded light­ing up­grades, sig­nage and bol­lards.

“An ap­pli­ca­tion for Fed­eral Gov­ern­ment fund­ing has been sub­mit­ted re­quest­ing as­sis­tance with the pur­chase of CCTV cam­eras for key ar­eas around the South Perth Fore­shore, Mill Point Road in South Perth, and Karawara,” she said. “The City re­cently pur­chased a mo­bile CCTV trailer that will soon be op­er­a­tional.”

The City of South Perth’s act­ing in­fra­struc­ture plan­ning co-or­di­na­tor Michelle Baker will dis­cuss the City’s CCTV plan, which is cur­rently be­ing pre­pared. THE Carlisle house where the body of a mother of two was found buried in the back­yard is on the mar­ket.

Sell­ing agent Jared Rayner said the We­ston Street prop­erty was no longer a crime scene and its his­tory would not be hid­den from buy­ers.

“Be­cause it’s a ma­te­rial fact of the trans­ac­tion, we must ac­knowl­edge that to any per­son who does want to pur­port a con­tract,” he said.

“It’s open pub­lic in­for­ma­tion as well, how­ever I would still be dis­clos­ing be­cause we don’t know what re­ally hap­pened there other than a body was found in the back­yard.”

Ahmed Da­wood See­dat (36) was charged with the mur­der of his wife Fahima Yusuf (32), whose body was found at their We­ston Street prop­erty on Septem­ber 5.

He is next sched­uled in court on No­vem­ber 28.

Un­der the Real Es­tate and Busi­ness Agents and Sales Rep­re­sen­ta­tives Code of Con­duct 2016 reg­u­la­tion 24, the agent or rep­re­sen­ta­tive must make rea­son­able ef­forts to ver­ify all facts ma­te­rial to the trans­ac­tion.

The house will be auc­tioned on site at 10am on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 8.
