Club hub a one-stop sport shop

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - SPORT -

GRASSROOTS sport and recreation clubs throughout WA can access an online hub for resources, support and guidance to help volunteers run their teams.

The Every Club Hub, launched by Sport and Recreation and Volunteering Minister Mick Murray on December 18, is a one-stop shop for the state’s 5500 community sporting clubs and their volunteers.

It includes guides on running club finances, writing grant funding applications and running a social media account.

“WA’s sport and recreation clubs are run by thousands of enthusiastic volunteers, passionate about what they do and always looking for ways to improve,” Mr Murray said.

“By providing an extensive range of club management resources – online and free – volunteers for the first time have a one-stop shop to access information they want, when they need it.

“We have had extensive feedback at community level that many volunteers didn’t know where to start when trying to access information.

“Whether a club volunteer wants to learn more about ways to fundraise, how to book keep or ways to attract new members, the Every Club Hub is there to provide that information.”

The State Government developed the Every Club Hub following consultation with 760 clubs and 92 local governments.
