THE Adventures of the Belmonsters, the picture book community project created by 14 talented Belmont residents, is now on sale at the City of Belmont Civic Centre and Ruth Faulkner Public Library.

Under the guidance of illustrator Bailey Bosch and author Cameron Aikenhead, the book took 10 workshop sessions to bring to life.

City of Belmont Mayor Phil Marks said the special children’s book was produced in collaboration with the community and the City.

The Belmonsters are mythical creatures who live in the City of Belmont but do not venture from their home until they meet a new friend, a young boy, who encourages the Belmonsters to play and explore their local area.

The City recently held a function to celebrate the final published work.

“So in the spirit of the Belmonsters I encourage you all to read this children’s book and explore this wonderful story,” Mayor Marks said.
