DOWNSTAIRS UPSTAIRS BY DESIGN

Southern Gazette (Victoria Park) - - Residential -

THIS three-bedroom townhouse is at the rear of a modern complex and has a clever layout that will appeal to modern families.

Built in 2010 by Messina Construction and designed by the owners, little has changed since they moved into the home in 2013.

On the ground floor is a kids’ zone with two bedrooms with built-in robes, a bathroom with separate bath and the first of several living spaces that spills out on to the courtyard.

The upside-down layout means the open-plan main living area is upstairs.

The kitchen takes centre stage with its stone-style benchtops and ample space for work and storage. It overlooks the dining and family areas all the way out to the entertainer’s balcony for maximum utility.

“The kitchen and upstairs is fantastic for parties; being at the back of the set of three properties, there is no noticeable noise from Canning Highway as well,” the owners said.

“Bringing our son home for the first time was a great milestone and we have also hosted many family events, including birthdays and Christmases.”

Also on this level is a powder room perfect for visitors.

Blackbutt floors flow from here through to the master suite, where the bedroom alone is 4.5m x 4.5m and has a spacious walk-in robe and ensuite with double vanity units.
