Charity chief’s new venture
VARIETY WA has a new chief executive.
Tony Hume (49) has been given the task of steering the Burswood-based charity’s philanthropic ventures.
Mr Hume was previously chief executive of United Way and managing director of Eclipse Solutions.
He also worked at the Foundation for Australia’s Most Endangered Species, was director of advancement for health sciences at Curtin University and is managing director at Medical Cannabis Research Australia.
Mr Hume graduated from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and also has the global accreditation of Certified Fundraising Executive.
He said he chose to work in workplaces where he could have the most community impact.
