Advice you must not ignore
THE key to success for any business in Perth is to keep evolving, according to Australia’s No.1 small business author, Andrew Griffiths.
The author of 101 ways to
market your business will be in Perth next month for a series of free Community Connect seminars hosted by Community News.
He will share with guests important advice about the strategies small business owners need to adopt to thrive in the modern world.
“The way we used to do business just won’t work in the new world,” Mr Griffiths said.
“Small businesses are facing many challenges at the moment, including keeping up with technology, staying relevant with customers, marketing and self-management,” he said.
“The geographic isolation of Perth in particular is also a challenge and local business owners need to look further afield for new markets and they need to market harder than most.
“My favourite quote is from Alvin Toffler, the author of the 1980s book Future Shock – ‘The illiterate of the 21st century won’t be those who can’t read or write, but those who can’t learn, unlearn and then relearn’.
“This sums up what we need to be doing in small business today.”
Mr Griffiths is now an entrepreneur, author of 13 titles and a global presenter on topics relevant to small businesses. The free Community Connect seminars will be held in Perth, Mandurah and Joondalup on September 11, 12 and 13 respectively.
