Credit cards used in fraud

TWO bankcards stolen from a let­ter­box in River­vale last month have been used fraud­u­lently to rack up more than $1300 in il­le­gal pur­chases.

Bel­mont po­lice said the cards were used at stores across Bel­mont, Cloverdale and As­cot since be­ing stolen from a Cleaver Street let­ter­box be­tween Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 14, and Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 16.

They would like to speak to a woman cap­tured on CCTV wear­ing a grey shirt un­der a black jacket and dark coloured pants.

She is de­scribed as dark­skinned, 25 to 35 years old with a medium build and long dark hair.
