Dinner to thank Dr Rao
AN appreciation dinner will be held at the Tocumwal Bowls Club on September 30 to honour Dr Rao’s service to the towns people of Tocumwal.
As well as being on call for 24-hours a day, and always available to offer care to the community in his role as country doctor, he was a willing volunteer in the Lions Club.
He was a charter member of the Tocumwal Lions Club and was awarded The Melvin Jones Fellowship, which is the highest award for his contribution and building of The Retirement Village.
Dr Rao received his OAM and went on to plan the Tocumwal Lions Community Hostel and play an active part in its administration.
Bookings to attend the dinner may be made at the bar of the
Bowls Club, or by calling 5874 2253.
The evening will start at 6.30pm, for a 7pm meal.
