Finley’s rockin’ party
Santa Claus was the man of the moment at the Finley Rockin’ Christmas Extravaganza held at the Finley Recreation Reserve last Wednesday night.
The jolly man arrived in style in a polished vintage car and delighted children of all ages taking last minute Christmas wishes and handing out sweet treats.
There were lucky gate prizes galore and the Finley Christmas lighting award winners were announced together with the talented winners of the ‘Christmas in Finley’ poetry competition. For more on the event, and all local winners,
The Berrigan Childrens Centre recently held a very successful Christmas Raffle and street stall, and thank everyone who helped with the stall by donating goods or selling and buying raffle tickets.
The winners of the fabulous christmas hampers were Betty Burwood, Ray Eldridge, Maree Ryan and Lochy Stevensen. The Dora scooter was won by Seth Henderson.
The children and their families also celebrated christmas with a visit from Santa (pictured) on December 15.
The day also included the annual concert and graduation presentation.
St. Columbas School recently held its presentation night.
A donation of $500 was given to the school by Faye Stein from the Bingo Committee. The school is extremely grateful for a wonderful donation.
