Support local schools, organisations with a hit of golf
The Tocumwal Golf Club Fisher & Paykel/cobram Betta Electrical Annual Charity Golf Day and major auction is on again on Sunday, January 8.
Now in its tenth year, this massive event continues to grow in popularity - and prizes.
Thanks to generous local and interstate sponsorship nearly $200,000 has been raised for the Tocumwal Public School, Sacred Heart and a different community organisation each year
Keen golfers of all ages and abilities will flock to the club mid-morning on Sunday, January 8 to have a swing on the pristine Tocumwal fairways.
Registration is at 10.30am followed by Brunch from 11am to noon before tee off on Tocumwal’s superbly presented 36-hole Championship Course.
Golfers will vie for a treasure trove of prizes in both handicapped and nonhandicapped sections.
There are also a host of fun competitions along the way including nearest the pin, longest drive plus a chipping contest all for the chance to win fabulous prizes.
There are both handicapped and non handicapped sections so social or occasional golfers are more than welcome to participate.
Following play, golfers and guests will head to the club for a delicious two course dinner and compli- mentary quality red and white wines from Debortoli Wines.
Everyone will be a winner on the night with endless player prizes, raffles, silent auction items, memorabilia and white goods up for grabs.
Raising money has never been so much fun with spe- cial guests in AFL legends Peter and Paul Hudson.
Entry Fee is $100 per golfer, which includes the golf, gift, brunch and dinner.
The cost to attend the dinner only is $40 per person.
