Horseman wows Haino Park crowd
American horse whisperer Dr Lew Sterrett attracted more than 120 people to local property ‘Haino Park’, near Finley, on Friday.
The acclaimed horseman wowed the crowd with another inspiring demonstration.
Dr Sterrett returned by popular demand after his first visit to Finley in June 2011.
His amazing ability with horses was once again on show as he tied his animal training principles back to everyday living principles.
The event was coordinated by Finley Regional Christian Men’s Fellowship, and organiser John Everingham said the crowd exceeded expectations.
‘‘I was expecting 80 to 100 said. ‘‘We had about 120. ‘‘There was a lot of people who hadn’t been to the former one.
‘‘The day was mild and it was wonderful.’’
The crowd also reportedly included a former Victorian saddle bronc champion, he said.
Mr Everingham said while Dr Sterrett’s latest performance was not recorded, DVDS of his June demonstration are still available.
The event also helped raise money for the Finley Presbyterian CRASH youth group, which sold drinks at the event. For details call Mr Everingham on 5883 0239.
