Driver trapped in crashed car
A 19 year-old Deniliquin man sustained two broken legs plus other injuries in a car crash near Berrigan on Sunday.
The man was driving north on the Riverina Hwy near Ratcliffs Rd in a Mitsubishi Magna when he allegedly veered off the western curve of the road and collided with a tree about 6pm.
He was trapped by his legs, and had to be freed by emergency services.
He was taken to Albury Base Hospital by ambulance, and later taken to Melbourne for surgery.
He had two broken legs plus injuries on his torso, face and arms.
●●● A 48 year-old Berrigan man was charged with mid-range drink driving about 5.30pm Wednesday.
The man was pulled over on the Newell Hwy at Finley before being taken to the Finley Police Station where he allegedly returned a reading of 0.104.
His licence was suspended and he will face court at a later date.
