Swim students enjoy evening carnival
Last Wednesday evening St Columba’s held its swimming carnival.
A great night was held by all with Gurrum Nagle just beating Or Iona for the champion house honours.
The winners of the night were as follows:
Champion Male Swimmer – Thomas Whelan, Champion Female Swimmer – Brooke Hooper, Senior Boys Champion – Thomas Whelan, Runner-up – Fraser Haintz, Senior Girl Champion – Kaitlynn Jones, Runnerup - Annie Cameron, 11 year-old Champion - Brooke Hooper, 12 yearold Champion – Jacob Glanvill, Junior Boy Champion was a threeway draw – Miles Curtin, Michael Callum and John O’neill, Junior Girl Champion – Olivia O’neill and Runner-up - Natasha Jones.
Congratulations to all who participated. Students swam at Finley yesterday at the SW Deanery Carnival.
The community are invited to the Bailey family send-off for Ank, Katrina, Kate and John on Saturday, March 3 at the Berrigan Sports Ground Function Room.

●●● The Classic Car Club Formation is looking for members interested in forming a vintage and classic car club within the Berrigan Shire.
A meeting will be held for all interested people to explain the aims and set an agenda for the formation of a club if there is enough interest.
The meeting is on Wednesday, February 22 at the Tuppal Hotel at 6.30pm. If you would like more information please contact Rob Gillespie on 5885 2515.

Pancakes will be cooked and tossed again in the Uniting Church Cox hall this Sunday, February 19 at 11am.
A freshly cooked hot pancake with ice cream and maple syrup or lemon will cost $5 with free tea or coffee.
The pancakes are delicious so don’t miss out. All welcome.
●●● Amaroo Ladies Auxiliary is holding its Annual Fete on March 24. There will be various stalls, Devonshire tea and BBQ. More information next week.
●●● Next Tuesday night, February 21 is St Aidan’s Pancake Night starting at 6.30pm. All welcome.
●●● Sympathy is extended to Rowan and Andrea O’neill and the extended O’neill family on the passing of Rowan’s mother Shirley last Monday.
●●● Berrigan CWA February meeting will be held next Monday at 2pm in the CWA Rooms. If you would like to join CWA, contact any CWA member or come along to the monthly meetings held on the third Monday of every month.
Meetings are also held on the second Monday of the month which takes the format of learning new crafts and discussions about upcoming activities of the CWA.
