Eric de­liv­ers shave money

Some might say Ber­ri­gan’s Eric Hol­ly­wood looked a lit­tle silly with half his beard and half his hair shaved off ear­lier this year, but oth­ers would call him a hero.

Eric shaved op­po­sites sides of his face and head for the Leukaemia Foun­da­tions Worlds Great­est Shave, and left if that way for a whole month.

As a re­sult, he raised an im­pres­sive $3,600 which he re­cently handed over to the Ber­riagn Lions Club to send off the the foun­da­tion.

And he wasn’t the only lo­cal to brave the shave in the lat­est foun­da­tion cam­pa­gin.

The money raised will go to­wards vi­tal re­search into cures for blood can­cer, plus free ser­vices to sup­port fam­i­lies that have a loved ones af­fected by a blood can­cer di­ag­noses.

Eric said he de­cided to shave when the idea was brought up at his lo­cal Lions Club meet­ing.

He made the decision to shave on his own terms and took the plunge with sup­port for more than 80 busi­nesses, or­gain­sa­tions donors.
