Jessie runs her way to Syd­ney

Jessie Read was among 18 young ath­letes from St Joseph’s Catholic School, Jer­ilderie, to com­pete in the Dioce­san Cross Coun­try at Hol­brook re­cently.

All stu­dents per­formed well, and were a credit to their school.

Con­grat­u­la­tions to Jessie who came fourth amongst the to­tal field in her age group.

She will go on to com­pete as a mem­ber of the Mackil­lop Cross Coun­try Team at East­ern Creek Race­way on June 15.

●●● The Catholic Women’s League will be hold­ing a street stall this Fri­day, May 18.

Any sup­port would be grate­fully re­ceived.

●●● Tidy Towns have a bas­ket in IGA for do­na­tions of goods for their sec­ond raf­fle.

It will help raise money for nam­ing rights for a room at the Al­bury Wodonga Accommodation Cen­tre.

The raf­fle will be drawn on May 25, when tick­ets will also be sold out­side IGA.

The amount re­ceived by the Lions Club to date now stands at $16,500.

We’re draw­ing closer to the spec­i­fied $25,000.

●●● Don’t for­get the clos­ing date for en­tries to Jer­ilderie’s Got Tal­ent, to be run by the Public School in early Au­gust.

Names into the school by June 1.

Kids, teens, adults and groups are all wel­come.

The au­di­tion date is to be an­nounced.
