Tidy Towns street stall

This Fri­day the Jer­ilderie Tidy Towns is hold­ing its sec­ond street stall to help raise money for the accommodation cen­tre in Al­bury.

A raf­fle of a ham­per will be drawn on the day. All do­na­tions and sup­port will be grate­fully re­ceived.

●●● The clos­ing date for en­tries to Jer­ilderie’s Got Tal­ent is June 1. Names to the Public School.

●●● The Big­gest Morn­ing/ Af­ter­noon tea will be hosted at the Jer­ilderie Li­brary on Fri­day, June 8. Busi­ness or­ders will be de­liv­ered in the morn­ing, and the af­ter­noon tea will be from 2pm to 4pm at the Monash room, en­try via the Li­brary. Mark your cal­en­dars.

●●● Win­ners of the raf­fle on the Catholic Wom­ens League street stall last Fri­day were:

Betty Sweeney, fruit and veg; and Ol­lie Pitt, Phar­macy voucher. Thanks to ev­ery­one who sup­ported this very suc­cess­ful stall, which raised $557.

●●● The Hospi­tal Aux­ilia- ry May meet­ing will be held to­mor­row af­ter­noon at 2pm at the Com­mu­nity Cen­tre meet­ing room. New mem­bers are al­ways wel­come.

●●● Euan John An­thony Sidg­wick, third son of Bron­wyn and John, and new­est grand­son for Brian and Jenny Moloney, was bap­tised in Yar­ra­wonga on Sun­day morn­ing. God­par­ents are Helene and Justin Mort­lock.

●●● Be­lated happy birth­day to Ann Hardie who cel­e­brated her 70th re­cently. Ann and Bruce have been in Ade­laide vis­it­ing their youngest daugh­ter Bron­wyn and her fam­ily.

●●● One rea­son the news is lack­ing in con­tent this week, is that your cor­re­spon­dent and hus­band have been in Can­berra for four days, dur­ing which time they at­tended the 70th birth­day cel­e­bra­tions of Paul’s brother Martin Ryan, at the Royal Can­berra Golf Club on Satur­day night.

●●● South­ern Rive­rina Toast­mas­ters Club has just held its an­nual elec­tions.

Jim Muir­head from Fin­ley is the new pres­i­dent, Ray Bright from Jer­ilderie vice pres­i­dent and Joanne Wil­sonRi­d­ley the new trea­surer.

The Toast­mas­ters Club meets twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Thurs­days at the Royal Mail Ho­tel in Jer­ilderie with mem­bers from Tocumwal, Fin­ley, Ber­ri­gan, Jer­ilderie, De­niliquin and Coleam­bally.

New mem­bers al­ways wel­come.

This Thurs­day Toast­mas­ters is hold­ing a din­ner meet­ing. Mem­bers are asked to bring a friend.

If any­one is in­ter­ested in pol­ish­ing up on public speak­ing skills come to Jer­ilderie’s Royal Mail Ho­tel to­mor­row 7pm for 7.30pm start.
