Fin­ley Sun­day, May 20 was the stroke and monthly medal. Men’s A grade win­ner was L Kelly 82-10-72, B grade win­ner P Watts 104-29-75.

Ladies win­ner was S Pyle 90-19-71. NTP M O’brien. Putting H Was­tle. Balls P Kelly, G Shaw, R Hehir, C Mcna­mara, M O’brien, R Har­ris, P Vam­vas, J Del­menico, J Cor­co­ran and L Ren­dell.

Men’s monthly medals: scratch M O’brien, nett G Shaw, ladies scratch and net Medal were both won by S Pyle.

Satur­day, May 19 saw a ca­pac­ity field for the sec­ond round of the Wil­son Cup . The win­ners were M Ryan and D Gra­ham with 50 pts.

Fin­ish­ing sec­ond were H Daniel and M Daniel with 46 pts and third was K White and I Daniel with 44 pts.

The points at this stage are Ber­ri­gan 275, Fin­ley 267 and Jer­ilderie 256.

The men’s win­ner was T Price with 36 pts. NTP G Law­son and G Brown. Fin­ley Ladies Fin­ley Lady golfers took to the course on Wed­nes­day for their Stable­ford event spon­sored by Fin­ley Auto Electrics.

The win­ner was Gwen Walsh who fin­ished with (29) 42 pts. The r/up Ann Hardin fin­ished closed be­hind with 40.

NTP was He­len Was­tle on the 13th. Ball win­ners were Chris­tine Shaw 40, He­len Was­tle 37, Janet Del­menico 35, Kerry Lunn 34.

Ber­ri­gan The Fri­day 9 Hole Chook Run saw C Kelly fin­ish the day on top with 41-31-10 while L Cur­tis was the r/up with 44-34-10 on count­back.

Kelly also won the putting event with 14 cb.

Ball win­ners were R Bar­nett 34, P Hunt 341⁄ and J Ni­cholls 35.

On Sun­day the 18 Hole Com­pe­ti­tion saw R Brad­bury the win­ner fin­ish­ing with 77-8-69; A Teage was the r/up with 87-19-70.

Brad­bury also won the putting event with 25.

Ball win­ners were J Stein 72 and B Burston 74.

Com­ing Events: Sun­day, May 27 Stable­ford Event.

Jer­ilderie On Sun­day at the Jer­ilderie Golf Course the Stable­ford Med­ley event was played.

The event saw Fred Dowl­ing fin­ish the win­ner on 40 pts. R/up was Gerry Law­son on 33pts.

The ball com­pe­ti­tion win­ners were Mike Neilan on 32 pts cb and Dave Legge on 32 pts.

Tocumwal On Tues­day last week, 80 ladies played Four­somes for the Doris Cham­bers Tro­phy.

The win­ners were Anne Free­stone and Sheila Walsh with 77 nett. R/up Marie McLen­nan and Betty Bur­wood 78 on a count­back. Balls went to 801⁄ NTP: Kerry Mur­ray 2nd, Marie Mclen­nan 8th, He­len Was­tle 10th and Lynne Parry on the 15th.

Wed­nes­day’s Men’s Com­pe­ti­tion was on the Cap­tains course with 125 play­ers tak­ing part.

Win­ners A grade Craig Kep­ple from Rose­bud Coun­try Club 4 up, B grade Barry Mass­ing­ham 2 up, C grade Frank Man­son from St Michael’s Golf Club 4 up and D Grade David Mcleod 2 up. Balls went to 3 down.

On Satur­day, 34 ladies played Stable­ford on the Cap­tain’s Course and 83 men played the first round of their Cham­pi­onship on the Pres­i­dent’s Course.

Ladies re­sults A grade win­ner Robyn Con­rick 40 pts, B Grade Lois David­son 41 pts. Balls to 32 on a count­back. NTP: Pat Frost.

Men’s A grade Ritchie Kliszka 67 nett, B grade John Henry 73 nett, C grade Mor­ris Davis 74 nett. Balls to 76 nett.

Matthew Thomas, a vis­i­tor from De­niliquin, had an Ea­gle on the 5th hole and Fred Ross­bor­ough was near­est the pin on the 15th hole.

On Sun­day, 80 men played Stroke for the 2nd round of the Cham­pi­onships and the Monthly Medal.

The win­ners were A grade Ross Side­bot­tom 71 nett, B grade Wayne Youl­ten 72 nett, C grade and Medal Ross Clark 70 nett.

The Monthly Gross win­ners: A-grade a tie be­tween Gary Hunt and Greg Wat­more 75, B grade Barry Hunter 87, C grade Ross Clark 89.

NTP: Barry Hunter and Nathan Matthews had an Ea­gle on the 11th Hole.

At this stage of the Cham­pi­onships the lead­ers are A grade Nathan Matthews 144, Gary Hunt 148; B grade Barry Hunter 174, John Henry 177; C grade Ross Clark 190, Mor­ris Davis 200.
