Tocumwal Sun­day was the last round of the Club Cham­pi­onships and was played on the Cap­tain’s course with 78 play­ers tak­ing part.

Gary Hunt is cham­pion for 2012 with the score of 205; r/up was Greg Wat­more with 303; B grade John Henry 359, r/up Mick Keen 370; C grade Ross Clark 388, r/up Bill Ten­der­son 401.

Hand­i­cap win­ners: A grade Steve Wil­liams 292, B grade Brian Thompson 304 and C grade Mor­ris Davis 312.

The Sun­day daily com­pe­ti­tion win­ners were A grade Steve Wil­liams 69 nett, B grade Wayne Youl­ten 73 on a count­back from Shane Hal­lo­ran, C grade Alan Bed­ford 72 nett. Near­est the pin Nathan Matthews.

On Satur­day, 57 men played stroke for the 3rd round of their Cham­pi­onships and 27 ladies played Stable­ford on the Pres­i­dent’s course.

Mens A grade win­ner was Greg Wat­more 72 nett on a count­back from Gary Hunt, B grade Terry Mcma­hon 70 nett, C Grade John Simm 73 nett.

Ladies A grade Ros Sey­mour 34 pts, B grade Mary Mur­doch 34 pts. NTP: Ladies Anne Bev­eridge, Men Alan Leg­gate and Gary Hunt had an Ea­gle on the 3rd hole.

The Men’s Cham­pi­onship at this stage is a cliffhanger with Nathan Matthews and Gary Hunt tied on 220.

On Tues­day last week the ladies had their Guest Day and played 4BBB Stable­ford on the Cap­tain’s course.

The Mem­ber/guest win­ners were Mar­garet Bald­win and Gwen Walsh 46 pts, r/up San­dra Wil­liams and Gil­lian Now­ell 45 pts.

Mem­ber/mem­ber win­ners Marg An­der­son and Glenys Pohlner 45 pts, r/up Marg Har­ford and Pat Mor­ri­son 44 pts.

Near­est the pins Leanne Mar­shall 2nd, Marie Mclen­nan 8th and Shirley Crowe on the 17th. Balls to 39 on a count­back.

Wed­nes­day’s Mens Stable­ford Com­pe­ti­tion was on the Pres­i­dent’s course with 127 play­ers tak­ing part. The win­ners were A grade Phillip Lovelace 36 pts, B grade Syd Roughsedge 39 pts, C grade Dave Hansen 34 pts, D grade Peter Maughan 31 pts. NTP: John Gradie and Ian Vize.

Fin­ley Satur­day, May 26 was the qual­i­fy­ing round for the 2012 men’s four­ball cham­pi­onships and the win­ners were I Daniel and B Ju­lian with 44 pts.

Sun­day, May 27 was the an­nual Lions Char­ity Day with a large num­ber in at­ten­dance. The event was stable­ford. The mens A grade win­ner was P Pin­nick 36 pts, sec­ond M Clarke 30 pts, third T Mccaw 29 pts. B grade win­ner was B Ju­lian 39 pts, sec­ond P Vam­vas 37 pts, third P Lewis 31pts,

C grade win­ner D Was­tle 36 pts, sec­ond J Bray­bon 35 pts, third G Boscombe 30 pts.

The A grade ladies win­ner was J Del­menico 34 pts, sec­ond M Polk­inghorne 31 pts, third J Cor­co­ran 30 pts. B grade win­ner was G Walsh 39 pts, sec­ond K White 36 pts, third B White 34 pts.

Fin­ley Ladies Fin­ley lady golfers took to the course last Wed­nes­day play­ing a Stroke event which was spon­sored by Kalan­gadoo Nurs­ery.

The win­ner of the event was Janet Del­menico 93 (22) 71 on a count­back; run­ner-up was Kerry Lunn 88 (17) 71.

The putting was won by Linda Ren­dell with 29 putts, while the scratch ball were won by Kerry Lunn 88 and He­len Was­tle 88.

Ball win­ners were Sharon Pyle 72, Glenda Mccul­lough 74, Linda Ren­dell 75 and He­len Was­tle 76.

Round 2 Cham­pi­onships nes­day, May 30.

Final round will be held on Wed­nes­day, June 6.

Ber­ri­gan On Fri­day a 9 Hole Chook Run com­pe­ti­tion was played and saw Chris Kelly the win­ner with 44-34. The r/up was Doug Cameron with 44-36. D Cameron also won the putting with 13.

On Satur­day the 9 Hole Garry An­gus Com­pe­ti­tion was played and saw Sid Gold­smith the win­ner with 48-331⁄ The r/up was P Ri­ley with 46-341⁄ The putting was won by L Stevens on 13.

Ball win­ners were L Stevens, John Quinn and Gail Browne.

The Sun­day 18 Hole com­pe­ti­tion saw J Ni­cholls the win­ner fin­ish­ing with 36 on a count­back with L Cur­tis the r/up on 36 pts.

Ball win­ners were P Shand and C Kelly.
