Tocumwal Sunday was the last round of the Club Championships and was played on the Captain’s course with 78 players taking part.
Gary Hunt is champion for 2012 with the score of 205; r/up was Greg Watmore with 303; B grade John Henry 359, r/up Mick Keen 370; C grade Ross Clark 388, r/up Bill Tenderson 401.
Handicap winners: A grade Steve Williams 292, B grade Brian Thompson 304 and C grade Morris Davis 312.
The Sunday daily competition winners were A grade Steve Williams 69 nett, B grade Wayne Youlten 73 on a countback from Shane Halloran, C grade Alan Bedford 72 nett. Nearest the pin Nathan Matthews.
On Saturday, 57 men played stroke for the 3rd round of their Championships and 27 ladies played Stableford on the President’s course.
Mens A grade winner was Greg Watmore 72 nett on a countback from Gary Hunt, B grade Terry Mcmahon 70 nett, C Grade John Simm 73 nett.

The Men’s Championship at this stage is a cliffhanger with Nathan Matthews and Gary Hunt tied on 220.
On Tuesday last week the ladies had their Guest Day and played 4BBB Stableford on the Captain’s course.

Wednesday’s Mens Stableford Competition was on the President’s course with 127 players taking part. The winners were A grade Phillip Lovelace 36 pts, B grade Syd Roughsedge 39 pts, C grade Dave Hansen 34 pts, D grade Peter Maughan 31 pts. NTP: John Gradie and Ian Vize.
Finley Saturday, May 26 was the qualifying round for the 2012 men’s fourball championships and the winners were I Daniel and B Julian with 44 pts.

Sunday, May 27 was the annual Lions Charity Day with a large number in attendance. The event was stableford. The mens A grade winner was P Pinnick 36 pts, second M Clarke 30 pts, third T Mccaw 29 pts. B grade winner was B Julian 39 pts, second P Vamvas 37 pts, third P Lewis 31pts,
C grade winner D Wastle 36 pts, second J Braybon 35 pts, third G Boscombe 30 pts.
The A grade ladies winner was J Delmenico 34 pts, second M Polkinghorne 31 pts, third J Corcoran 30 pts. B grade winner was G Walsh 39 pts, second K White 36 pts, third B White 34 pts.

Finley Ladies Finley lady golfers took to the course last Wednesday playing a Stroke event which was sponsored by Kalangadoo Nursery.
The winner of the event was Janet Delmenico 93 (22) 71 on a countback; runner-up was Kerry Lunn 88 (17) 71.
The putting was won by Linda Rendell with 29 putts, while the scratch ball were won by Kerry Lunn 88 and Helen Wastle 88.
Ball winners were Sharon Pyle 72, Glenda Mccullough 74, Linda Rendell 75 and Helen Wastle 76.
Round 2 Championships nesday, May 30.
Final round will be held on Wednesday, June 6.
Berrigan On Friday a 9 Hole Chook Run competition was played and saw Chris Kelly the winner with 44-34. The r/up was Doug Cameron with 44-36. D Cameron also won the putting with 13.
On Saturday the 9 Hole Garry Angus Competition was played and saw Sid Goldsmith the winner with 48-331⁄ The r/up was P Riley with 46-341⁄ The putting was won by L Stevens on 13.
Ball winners were L Stevens, John Quinn and Gail Browne.
The Sunday 18 Hole competition saw J Nicholls the winner finishing with 36 on a countback with L Curtis the r/up on 36 pts.
