Jumping for joy at Jerilderie
St Joseph’s School students (pictured, right) in Jerilderie took part in Jump Rope for Heart on Friday.
Students learned about healthy hearts and healthy eating in the morning, before hitting the ropes in the afternoon.
The youngsters were also treated to a barbecue prepared by some of their fathers.
The ‘Dad’s Barbecue’ was a way for the school to get fathers involved with students and the skipping day, instead of having the mothers run the canteen.
The last day of term also included some special skipping awards. The whole school took part in the Jump Rope for Heart day.
