There was not a full contingent of export buyers at the Finley saleyards on Friday.
However, prices for the heavy steers and cows still lifted by 6c to 12c/kg.
The quality of the young stock was mixed with several store lines offered. The yearling steers were 6c to 8c/kg dearer.
The vealers made from 183c to 232c/kg. The yearling steers B and C muscle made from 190c to 216c to average 202c/kg.
The yearling heifer portion made from 176c to 212c/kg.
There were several pens of well finished grown steers offered. The medium C3 and C4 steers were 172c to 208c to average 202c/kg.
The heavy steers made from 192c to 196c to average 193c, while the bullocks reached 192c/kg. The beef cows lifted by 10c and made from 135c to 156c/kg. The best of the bulls topped at 184c/kg.
