Man re­fuses to leave

About 9.49pm on Satur­day po­lice were called to a Tocumwal ho­tel by staff af­ter a man al­legedly re­fused to leave. A 40 year-old man had re­port­edly been asked to leave twice.

He was charged with fail­ing to quit a li­censed premises.

●●● A 59 year-old man has been charged with al­leged drink driv­ing af­ter be­ing stopped for a ran­dom breath test in Fin­ley last Thurs­day.

Po­lice stopped a car driv­ing on the Newell High­way near Fin­ley about 10.35pm and sub­jected the driver to a breath test.

Af­ter al­legedly re­turn­ing a pos­i­tive re­sult, he was taken to Fin­ley Po­lice Sta­tion for fur­ther test­ing.

At the sta­tion, a blood al­co­hol read­ing of 0.058 was recorded and the man was charged with low range pre­scribed con­tent of al­co­hol.

It was also al­leged the man was driv­ing while dis­qual­i­fied.
