Bull riders set for Barooga
The very best bull riders from around Australia and the world are set to converge on Barooga for one huge night of extreme bull riding and sporting entertainment.
Forty of the most accomplished bull riders in the nation have been confirmed to compete in the $8,000 Barooga on the Murray Touring Pro Series presented by Warehouse Training on Saturday, December 1 at the Barooga Recreational Reserve Stadium.
The event is shaping up to be one of the toughest Professional Bull Riding Touring Pro Series events of the year.
The field of riders consists of numerous current and past Australian Champions, State Champions, Circuit Champions from QLD, NSW, VIC, NT, NZ and SA, World Finals qualifiers and members of the Australian World Cup Team, said PBR general manager Glen Young.
PBR events around the country have been drawing huge attendances as more and more people witness the excitement of this major league bull riding competition along with the standard of production that makes these events a must-see attraction.
Professional Bull Riding is like any other major league sporting event - it is all about matching the best riders against the absolute toughest bulls, which in turn creates a level playing field and some very exciting moments that will keep the audience glued to the edge of their seats from start to finish and hungry for more.
All points and money won from this competition also count towards the 2013 PBR World Finals.
For those who have not experienced a PBR event before, you can expect nonstop action from the start of the event to the finish.
For those who may blink and miss something, the mega replay screen and multiple camera angles will offer slow motion replays of each ride as well as taking the audience inside the chute to see each rider prepare for their ride.
In addition to the PBR Bull Ride a number of other activities have been included into the 2012 program, including the Barooga Ute Show starting at 1pm, Barrel Racing Demonstration with Rodeo Queen Entrant, Dani Quinsee, kids rides, food stalls, western clothing stores and for the first time ever the XXXX Retreat will be on site and giving away a trip to XXXX Island valued at over $10 000 as well as a DJ directly following the event.
