Christ­mas sea­son ar­rives in Ber­ri­gan

The BDDA Christ­mas Mar­ket Night will be held on Fri­day, De­cem­ber 7.

There will be en­ter­tain­ment for the whole fam­ily and a great night for the town.

There will be stalls, food avail­able from Blue Door Cafe, bak­ery and Smithy’s Cafe.

●●● Aus­tralian Red Cross and Ber­ri­gan Branch will be cel­e­brat­ing its 100th Centenary in 2014.

The Ber­ri­gan Branch is look­ing for Red Cross mem­o­ra­bilia to help fill in the years.

News­pa­per clip­pings, pho­tos and per­sonal items would be ap­pre­ci­ated.

●●● A re­minder that the Red Cross meet­ing to­day is at Ama­roo Hos­tel start­ing at 1.30pm.

As the group are host­ing af­ter­noon tea, a plate of good­ies would be ap­pre­ci­ated.

Do­na­tions of cakes, pro­duce and more would be greatly ap­pre­ci­ated for the street stall.

●●● Ber­ri­gan swim squad has com­menced and train­ing will be on Mon­day, Wed­nes­day and Thurs­day nights from 6pm dur­ing school term and 7pm dur­ing school hol­i­days.

All ages are in­vited to join with the only re­quire­ment be­ing the abil­ity to swim 25 me­tres.

●●● The Pyle fam­ily was sad­dened to hear of the death of Hazel Gor­don (nee Pyle) last Thurs­day, Novem­ber 15.

Hazel is the sis­ter of Frank Pyle and Dot McClel­lan who pre de­ceased her.

She is the mother of Ge­or­gia Gil­lam, San­dra Groark (dec) and Penny Coxon.
