Former Finley man Dion Sullivan has helped Australian barefoot skiiers make history at the recent World Barefoot Water Ski Titles.
Held in Texas, the world titles resulted in three Australian teams winning, breaking the USA’s dominate reign.
Sullivan won a gold medal in the winning senior team, which is for skiiers over 35 years-old.
He finished 11th in the tricks section, sixth in the slalom, fourth in the jumps section and was the fifth best overall.
During the championships he jumped a personal best of 20.6 metres.
Sullivan said he would like to thank his sponsors Barooga Sports Club, Mulwala Water Ski Club, Murray Goulburn work mates and the Victorian State Government.
He also thanked his family and friends for their support.
