Fin­ley BC On Sun­day 20 play­ers took part in the sev­enth week of the ac­cu­mu­la­tor.

Win­ners were John McCul­lough and Kevin Ho­vay with +13, while lucky en­velopes went to Nan Smith, Ron Pent­land, Mick Chap­lin and Marie Koschel.

The play­ers en­joyed the bowls but it was cold.

The com­pe­ti­tion is very close and week eight will be in­cluded in the clos­ing day’s bowls next Sun­day at 10.15am.

A sit down meal will fol­low af­ter raf­fles with a mem­bers draw at 12.45pm.

All bowlers who have won a cham­pi­onship are asked to wear uni­form please. A plate of salad or sweets from all bowlers would be ap­pre­ci­ated.

Wel­come back to Ken Frost for a short stay and Alan and Colleen Cowan who are all fit and well and en­joyed their break.

Thurs­day bowlers, with six play­ers tak­ing part, played for a KENO ticket. This event will be on again to­mor­row at 1pm (names by 11am).

The an­nual gen­eral meet­ing will be held next Wed­nes­day at 7.30pm.

Nom­i­na­tions for the in­com­ing board close on July 13 at 5pm. All po­si­tions are open.

Mem­ber­ships for the 2015/16 sea­son are now due. Full pay­ing mem­ber­ship costs $85 while so­cial is $10 or $20 for three years.

The end of month meal and raf­fles will as­sist Yalam­bee and we hope that it is well sup­ported by the or­gan­i­sa­tions.

At present the bowlo has raised $116,000 to as­sist lo­cal or­gan­i­sa­tions and we hope to con­tinue in the fu­ture.
