Berrigan’s C-Reserve side flew the flag for the club again on Saturday, beating Yarroweyah 48-33.
It was a brilliant effort by the defenders who ultimately won the game for the Saints. Awards went to Rachael Hamilton (Blue Door Cafe) and Jo Ruffin (Thomson’s Service Centre).
In A grade, Berrigan went down 56-30 despite applying good pressure.
Awards went to Jodi Hawes (Peppertree voucher) and Lisa Small (Wingates).
It was a tough game for the B-graders who lost 58-38.
Awards went to Arlena Pyle (Federal Hotel) and Bianca Mohr (BNC $20).
A close game with wonderful defence saw Berrigan’s under-17s go down 41-39. Awards went to Ally Barry (President’s $5), Tamara Podesta (Phillips Family $5) and Kylee Hustwaite (Haintz Concreting $5).
The under-15s played one of their best game of the year in a 29-13 loss.
It was great to see the shooters attempting from all areas and going for rebounds.
Awards winners were Tahlia Thomson (Berrigan Takeaway & Pizza), Kate Arnold (Canteen) and Annabelle Phillips (Phillips Family $5).
The under-13s played well but went down 33-19, with awards going to Amelia Alexander (canteen), Shae Fennell (IGA $5) and Dana Karakai (Alexander Family $5).
Teamwork in the under-11s game was awesome. Their co-operation up and down the court led them to shoot an incredible 34 goals.
Awards went to Phoebe Holmes (Canteen), Lucy Phillips (Bizzy Scissors) and Regan Fox (Berrigan Pharmacy Jelly Beans).
