Wilkinson club champion
Tocumwal Tuesday last week was the final round of the Ladies’ Club Championship that saw Bobette Wilkinson the 2016 champion with a great three-round gross score of 252. In second place was Michelle Field with 257.
Division 2 winner was Patricia Frost 288 and runner-up went to Wendy Bedford 302, Division 3 was won by Dianne Kemp 335, with runner-up Marlene Bailey on 340.
Tuesday last week was also stroke event for the ladies on the Captain’s Course that saw Bobette Wilkinson the Division 1 winner with 75 net with the runner-up Helen Crilly on 77. Division 2 was won by Valerie Stark 73 net followed by Sue Lawson 77. Division 3 went to Yvonne Searle 76 net with runner-up going to Dianne Bright 80.

Last Wednesday the men played stableford on the President’s Course with Division 1 going to Adam Purtill with 37 pts on c/b from Joshua Paul.
Division 2 was won by Ben Lucas with 39 pts, Rick Tyler was runner-up with 38; Division 3 went to Barry Wilson with 39 pts followed by Ian Taylor 36.
David Hanson was the Division 4 winner with 34 pts, Len Redfern was runner-up with 32.

Due to heavy overnight rain and continuing through to Saturday, the Hospital Charity day had to be cancelled.
Sunday was the Men’s Monthly Medal played on 10C1P that saw Division 1 going to Michael Peters 74, with Ronald Huy run- ner up 75 on Williams.
Division 2 and Monthly Medal was won by Dan Robinett with 69 net and runner-up went to W Porczak 74.

Finley Visitors from Tasmania joined the men’s comp on Wednesday when John Taylor led the field with 41 stableford points to claim the voucher.

John Lacy showed how easy it can be to win the Matt Daniel Plumbing NAGA trophy.
A small but select field took to the course for the Thursday afternoon Nine Hole Stroke Competition.
After a countback at 37 net Barry Wilson claimed the voucher from Geoff Boscombe.
No golf played Saturday or Sunday due to rain.
Finley Masters will be played with the Bill Cook Memorial Fourball this Saturday, stroke event Sunday and Mixed Fourball on Monday.
The June Southern Riverina Veterans Golf Competition was held on the Captain’s course at Tocumwal on Monday with 100 golfers taking part.
Stableford was played and Martin Cox (Cobram) with 39 points took the A Grade trophy whilst Dennis Frost (Tocumwal) with 38 points was runner-up.
B Grade winner with 41 points was Ross Graham (Yarrawonga) with Rod Samways (Tocumwal) with 38 runner-up.
Andrew Higgins (Finley) with 39 points took C Grade with John Beard (Cobram) on 37 runner-up.
Balls were awarded to 48 players with 31 points and better.
The next Southern Riverina Veterans Golf Competition will be held at Cobram Barooga on July 11.
