Nash named best again

Young-gun net­baller Paige Nash has gone back-to-back, tak­ing out this year’s Jer­ilderie Net­ball Club A grade best and fairest.

It was a mir­ror im­age of last year’s count with de­fender Zoe Stephens fin­ish­ing as run­ner-up again.

It was an im­pres­sive year for 16 year-old Nash fin­ish­ing run­ner-up in the Pi­cola & Dis­trict League’s best and fairest vote count as well.

The goal at­tack started play­ing net­ball at the age of nine years old for Jer­ilderie and has been a rep­re­sen­ta­tive player the for U17 PDFNL, Bar­rel­lan and Dis­trict and most re­cently Goul­burn Re­gion.

It was cen­tre Kiara Keat­ing who once again earnt the coach’s award in A grade af­ter a fan­tas­tic year in the mid­court. Other re­sults: B Grade: B&F - Ken­dall Pur­cell, Run­ner-up - Tia Wil­liams, Coach’s award - Sara Smith.

C Grade: B&F - Heidi Bryce, Run­ner-up - Shayne New­ton, Coach’s award - Heidi Bryce, Best fi­nals player - Shayne New­ton.

C Re­serve: B&F - Ca­rina Ro­rato, Run­ners-up - Car­men Law­ton and Sally Simp­son, Coach’s awards - Tania Roe and Sha­ree Wilkin­son.

Un­der 17: B&F - Skye Nash, Run­ner-up - Phoebe Wat­son, Coach’s award - Ju­lia Bar­low, Best fi­nals player - Issy Catena.

Un­der 15: B&F - Grace Leeds, Run­ner-up - Elouise Bar­low, Coach’s award - Anna Pin­nuck, Best fi­nals player - Elouise Bar­low.
