Trade cattle were of mixed quality and feedlotters and restockers dominated the purchasing of the young cattle outbidding the processors on several lines. Prices showed mixed trends.
Most of the heavy steers over 500kg liveweight had shape and condition along with the beef cows. There were some good quality lots of vealers that ranged from 320c to 352c/kg.
The yearling steers B and C muscled made from 320c to 361c/kg. The medium and heavy feeder steers made from 310c to 349c/kg.
The yearling heifers made from 293c to 338c/kg. The 500-600kg C muscled steers made from 278c to 288c/kg. There was a Friesian steer that made to 252c/kg. The beef cows made from 200c to 250c/kg and heavy dairy cows made from 198c to 232c/kg.
