Man, 91, hit by re­vers­ing car

A 91 year-old man is still in a Shep­par­ton hos­pi­tal re­ceiv­ing treat­ment af­ter be­ing hit by a car in Fin­ley last week.

Po­lice said the man was struck by a re­vers­ing car in Mur­ray St about 2pm on Tues­day.

The 21 year-old driver told po­lice he did not see the man when try­ing to re­verse.

The driver sought help from staff at a nearby shop and helped ren­der first aid un­til paramedics ar­rived.

Po­lice said they did not have an up­date on the man’s con­di­tion be­fore the SOUTH­ERN RIVE­RINA NEWS went to print yes­ter­day, as he was yet to be in­ter­viewed by po­lice.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions into the in­ci­dent are con­tin­u­ing.
