All of the Blighty se­nior grades were vic­to­ri­ous at home against Yar­roweyah on Satur­day in the Pi­cola and District Net­ball League’s north-west di­vi­sion.

Blighty’s A grade en­joyed a week off due to Yar­roweyah not hav­ing a side.

The Redeyes’ A grade are fourth on the lad­der at the half way mark of the sea­son.

Blighty’s B grade showed their strength with a three-goal win in a nail-bit­ing match, scores 39 to 36.

Redeyes shooter Charlea Blake, mid­courter Sarah Cochrane and de­fender Ed­wina Hare were named the best play­ers for their per­sis­tent hard work.

The vic­tory was all the more sweet for play­ing coach Judy Plat­t­fuss who cel­e­brated her 500th game with the club.

In C grade spec­ta­tors en­joyed an­other close match, with scores level fre­quently through­out the game.

How­ever in the fi­nal quar­ter the Redeyes pulled away to a three-goal lead, the fi­nal score 28 goals to 25.

Agile Blighty de­fender Alana Coates was named best on court, while shooter Jess Smith and mid-courters Nikita Doyle and Emma Barker were also prom­i­nent in the win.

C-re­serve came away with the big­gest win of the day, de­feat­ing Yar­roweyah by 10 goals, 37 to 27.

Blighty de­fender Lou Ham­ner was named best on court for her count­less in­ter­cepts, while all­rounder Lisa Landy and de­fender Nat Green were also awarded for their ef­forts.

The Blighty club per­son of the week went to Court­ney Plat­t­fuss.
