High range drink driv­ing

A 23 year-old Tocumwal man has been charged with high range drink driv­ing.

Po­lice said they stopped a ve­hi­cle about 12.30am on Sun­day, which was al­legedly trav­el­ling 70km/h in a 50km/h zone in Kelly St, Tocumwal.

The driver was also al­legedly swerv­ing onto the wrong side of the road.

The driver was sub­jected to a road­side test, which al­legedly re­turned a read­ing of 0.174.

His driver’s li­cence was sus­pended and he will face court at a later date.

A 42 year-old man from Reser­voir, Vic- to­ria, has been charged with driv­ing an un­reg­is­tered ve­hi­cle and driv­ing while un­li­censed.

About 1.40am on Sun­day, po­lice al­legedly no­ticed a ve­hi­cle swerv­ing while trav­el­ling north along the Newell High­way, near Fin­ley.

The man was stopped for a road­side breath test which re­turned a neg­a­tive read­ing, how­ever fur­ther checks re­vealed the man was al­legedly un­li­censed and his ve­hi­cle was not reg­is­tered.

The ve­hi­cle’s plates were re­moved and seized.

The man will face court at a later date.
