Goods and services up for auction at Cats’ fundraiser
Sporting merchandise, agricultural services and goods from local businesses are all up for grabs at the Finley Football and Netball Club’s annual fundraiser this Saturday night.
Club committee member Barry Dawe said the goods and services auction is one of the club’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
He said there’s a host of items up for grabs, with something to suit everyone.
‘‘Some of the big ticket items include a corporate box seat to a Finley Football Netball Club game of their choice, and a corporate box seat at the MCG based on availability,’’ Mr Dawe said.
‘‘There’s also vouchers for hay contracting, tyres, fertilisers, agricultural repairs and welding, as well as cartage of either grain or livestock.
‘‘We also have a number of meal vouchers, and there’s a dinner party for eight up for grabs valued at about $800.
‘‘There are also some footballers who have offered up six hours of labour, as well as a load of firewood and Renegade Cricket Club merchandise.
‘‘There’s even a week’s stay at a holiday house on the coast up for grabs.’’
The event will held at the Finley Apex Sports and Community Centre after Saturday’s match with Barooga.
It’s free to attend the auction, which is expected to get underway from about 7pm. Meals and drinks will be at your own cost.
