Roller doors dam­aged

A num­ber of roller doors at Finley Pub­lic School were dam­aged ear­lier this month, ac­cord­ing to po­lice.

The ma­li­cious dam­age in­ci­dent is be­lieved to have taken place be­tween Fe­bru­ary 2 and 5.

Drink driv­ing charges

A 21 year-old man has been charged with al­leged low-range drink driv­ing af­ter be­ing stopped by po­lice on Satur­day, about 11pm.

Po­lice stopped the man’s ve­hi­cle in Hen­nessy St, Tocumwal where he was sub­jected to a road­side breath test.

The man al­legedly re­turned a pos­i­tive blood al­co­hol read­ing of 0.075. He is ex­pected to ap­pear be­fore the Finley Lo­cal Court at a later date.

In a sep­a­rate in­ci­dent, a 28 year-old man has been charged with al­leged mid-range drink driv­ing af­ter po­lice stopped his ve­hi­cle about 11.20pm on Thurs­day.

The man was stopped on Drum­mond Rd, Ber­ri­gan and was sub­jected to a road­side breath test, which po­lice al­lege re­turned a pos­i­tive read­ing.

The man was ar­rested and taken to the Finley Po­lice Sta­tion where he was sub­mit­ted to a breath anal­y­sis which al­legedly re­turned a pos­i­tive blood al­co­hol read­ing of 0.096. His driver’s li­cence was im­me­di­ately sus­pended and he is ex­pected to ap­pear be­fore the Finley Lo­cal Court at a later date.
