Tocumwal Un­der 12 player Abby O'Con­nell gets some ad­vice from younger brother Will dur­ing Satur­day’s clash between Team One and Team Two.

Tocumwal have re­claimed sec­ond spot on the Di­vi­sion One lad­der in the Mur­ray Val­ley Cricket As­so­ci­a­tion fol­low­ing an im­pres­sive eight wicket win over Katunga on Satur­day.

The Swans won the toss and elected to bat first.

The windy con­di­tions saw a few bowl­ing al­ter­ations, which had the Bloods on fire.

Tocumwal bowled out the home side in the 36th over for 109.

Jesse Barker starred with the ball with 4/9 off seven overs, with Mark Barker also solid with 3/17 off five.

Christina Roberts, Michael Roberts and John Luci took one wicket each.

Tocumwal took to the crease and bat­ted con­sis­tently. They had passed the home side’s to­tal in 26 overs los­ing just two wick­ets.

Jesse Barker capped off his im­pres­sive day top scor­ing with 58 not out, with Ranji Oliver (28 not out) and Michael Roberts (18) also bat­ting well.

In what could be a grand fi­nal pre­view, Tocumwal will host lad­der leader Waaia for the fi­nal round of the home and away sea­son on Satur­day.

Tocumwal’s Di­vi­sion Two were un­able to top­ple a strong Nathalia side in Tocumwal on Satur­day.

The vis­i­tors won the toss and elected to bat, los­ing their fi­nal wicket on the fi­nal ball of the in­nings to fin­ish with 176 runs on the board.

Best bowlers for Tocumwal were Paul Man­gion (4/27 off seven) and Dar­ren White (2/32 off seven), with four bowlers tak­ing one wicket each.

The Bloods were un­able to match Nathalia’s score, be­ing bowled out in the 34th over for 109.

Top scor­ers for Tocumwal were Paul Rus­sell (26), Dean Cole (24) and Reilly Ren­nick (24).

In Un­der 12s cricket, Tocumwal Team One played Tocumwal Team Two to fin­ish off the sea­son with a lo­cal derby. In the end it was Team One who were the vic­tors.

It has been a won­der­ful sea­son for this group of young­sters.
