Man ar­rested for breach

A 39 year-old Co­bram man has been charged with al­legedly breach­ing a do­mes­tic vi­o­lence or­der, af­ter al­legedly wield­ing a knife in his ex-part­ner’s home last week.

Po­lice al­lege the man went to the wo­man’s home about 7.15pm on Tues­day and used a knife to slash the wire mesh on a fly­screen door.

Po­lice say the man’s DVO spec­i­fies he should not be within 30 me­tres of his ex­part­ner or en­gage in any form of com­mu­ni­ca­tion with her.

Af­ter ar­riv­ing at the home, po­lice say they found the man nearby. They were un­able to find any knife.

He was ar­rested and charged at Fin­ley Po­lice Sta­tion, and or­dered to ap­pear in court.

Sec­ond charge

A Tocumwal man has al­legedly been caught driv­ing on a dis­qual­i­fied li­cence for the sec­ond time since it was dis­qual­i­fied.

Po­lice say they recog­nised the 74 year-old as a dis­qual­i­fied driver as he was driv­ing on Emily St, Tocumwal at 8.50am on Sun­day.

They said the same man was caught driv­ing last month, de­spite his li­cence be­ing dis­qual­i­fied un­til March 2019 fol­low­ing an in­ci­dent ear­lier in the year.

The man has been or­dered to ap­pear in Fin­ley Court.
