Man arrested for breach
A 39 year-old Cobram man has been charged with allegedly breaching a domestic violence order, after allegedly wielding a knife in his ex-partner’s home last week.
Police allege the man went to the woman’s home about 7.15pm on Tuesday and used a knife to slash the wire mesh on a flyscreen door.
Police say the man’s DVO specifies he should not be within 30 metres of his expartner or engage in any form of communication with her.
After arriving at the home, police say they found the man nearby. They were unable to find any knife.
He was arrested and charged at Finley Police Station, and ordered to appear in court.
A Tocumwal man has allegedly been caught driving on a disqualified licence for the second time since it was disqualified.
Police say they recognised the 74 year-old as a disqualified driver as he was driving on Emily St, Tocumwal at 8.50am on Sunday.
They said the same man was caught driving last month, despite his licence being disqualified until March 2019 following an incident earlier in the year.
The man has been ordered to appear in Finley Court.
